Smile

Good morning. This is Dr. Joe Cincotta. The second week of August is Smile Week. Aside from our school aged children who are not smiling because there are only a couple of more weeks of summer vacation left, we can all take advantage of this healthy activity. Try your own experiment. Spend a portion of your day not smiling, being friendly, or helpful. How does that make you feel? What kind of a response do you get from others? Then do the opposite. Smile, approach people positively and in a helpful manner. Now what is your internal feeling and what is the external reaction? Invariably the personal and community impact of simply smiling is positive, helpful, and healthy. And smiling often leads to laughter and even greater health benefits. How many people can you impact this week with your smile? Give it a try. It will make a beneficial difference. Thank you.
